Using the Sadlier Christ in Us series, K-5 Faith Formation offers St. Isidore Parish’s public and other private, non-Catholic, school students a path to know and love Jesus.
Beginning in September and continuing through March, with a choice of Tuesday or Wednesday classes from 4-5 pm, over 50 adult volunteers and teen helpers guide our children.
Classes are held in the St. Isidore School classrooms with special, supplemental in-church classes multiple times per year to which all are invited.
For students who will be receiving First Reconciliation and First Communion, they must attend two consecutive years of religious education beginning in Gr. 1 with sacraments received when in Gr. 2.
- If your child is entering Gr. 2 and it is their first year of religious education, they will be placed in a Gr. 1 class the first year and Gr. 2 class the next year. We try to place this age group together.
- If your child is in Gr. 3-5 and has not received their sacraments, they will attend a special RCIC (Rite of Christian Initiation for Children) program for two years that meets on Wednesdays from 4-5 pm.
We invite you to volunteer as a teacher or classroom aide! Please complete the Volunteer Form and someone will contact you as soon as possible. We offer classroom training before the beginning of each school year. Safe Environment training and fingerprinting are required for all volunteers over 18 working with children.
