The Sacristan coordinates the altar before Mass starts. The Lector reads the First Reading, Second Reading, and Prayers of the Faithful. The Extraordinary Ministers distribute the Eucharist and Precious Blood.
Before the First Reading, children are called up for a blessing and dismissed from Mass to a kindergarten classroom, where the Sunday readings are shared with them in a joyful and age-appropriate manner. Children return to Mass after the Homily. Children’s Liturgy of the Word will be offered at most 9 am Sunday Masses during the school year (not including major holidays). No need to register.
